"Praise be to . . . the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." |
Ministry OverviewIt’s all about family!Pastor Marty has shared some very inspiring stories of people at Crossings who have found ministries to which they have given their hearts. Congregational Care Ministries is all about caring for and with you, and we invite you to join us in caring for people. You can dive in, wade in, or just put in a big toe. If you want to dive in or wade in, give us a call and let us share information about established ministries with you. There are commitments ranging from once a month to once a week to spur of the moment. If you would like to become involved without a “formal” commitment (big toe), you can volunteer in your Sunday School class to help out with food when someone is ill or just out of the hospital. Or you can help keep us informed about needs within the congregation: someone who is ill, has lost a loved one, or is going through other difficulties that may wish to be contacted. If you’d like information to give to someone grieving or hurting, we can help with that, too. A personal note from you and information about healing opportunities at Crossings can mean a lot to someone who is hurting. Just keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to care for each other. This is the way people find their hearts desire in ministry. Interviews, screening forms, and/or references are required for certain ministry positions. Bereavement MinistryProvides, serves, and/or delivers food (casseroles, vegetables, salads, desserts) for funeral dinners held at the church or in the home.
