Spiritual Formation Ministry Community Groups

You are not meant to live out your Christian life alone. God designed us for community. Community Groups are where people meet regularly for Bible study and prayer, and commit to accountability, friendship and support. This is where rich and lasting friendships are cultivated – the real meaning of “community.” These groups meet in homes throughout the city so that you should be able to find one nearby. They are safe havens in which you can question, seek and struggle – and celebrate life with friends on life’s journey! You gotta get some Community!

If you are not currently in a Community Group, now is a great time to join one.

How do I locate a Community Group?

On September 7 there will be an opportunity to join a Community Group. Stay tuned!

Would you consider becoming a Community Group Leader?

Community Groups are an important part of the ministry of Crossings Community Church. While leaders do not have to be bible scholars or full time ministers, they play a significant part in the spiritual growth of the people in their groups.

Our leadership structure is designed so that all Community Group leaders have a Coach, who is available to provide guidance and support. To help prospective leaders understand the responsibilities, and so that we can become acquainted with you, the first step to becoming a leader is an interview with Deidre Franklin or one of our Coaches.

First we will establish some basics…
      • I know Jesus as my personal Savior.
      • I am eager to grow in my faith in Christ.
      • I consider Crossings Community Church to be my church home.
      • I would like to serve God as I shepherd, and encourage other people to know Him better.
      • I have at least one evening a week to devote to meeting with my Community Group, and would be willing to spend outside time preparing, and developing relationships with people.
      Next…Becoming a Community Group Leader!

If you can affirm the statements above, and would like to explore the opportunity to serve as a Community Group Leader, please contact me, Deidre Franklin to make an appointment.

You may use the same e-mail address to contact me with any questions. I'd love to talk with you more about this.

    Thanks,
    Deidre Franklin
    Pastor of Spiritual Formation
